Semi Rollover Crash in Van Wert County.

The Van Wert Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is currently investigating
a semi rollover crash on US127 at Wren Landeck Road, Liberty Township, at
approximately 7:43 A.M. on September 12, 2024.
A 2024 Honda Civic, operated by Scott Rockhold, 53 years of age, of Urbana, was
northbound on US 127. Mr. Rockhold was slowing down to turn westbound onto Wren
Landeck Road. A northbound 2008 Peterbilt semi, operated by Egues Leon Victor, age 32
of Bradenton, FL, failed to maintain an assured clear distance ahead. Mr. Victor swerved
into the opposite lane of travel, striking the Honda Civic as it was in the process of
turning. Mr. Victor’s semi went off the left side of the roadway, and overturned onto the
roadway. Northbound and southbound lanes of US127 were completely obstructed, and
the roadway was closed for approximately three hours. Both drivers sustained minor
injuries. The crash remains under investigation at this time.
