SEVERE COLD WARNING

IT’s cold out there! Very Cold!

As of 7:45 Sunday evening, Williams County was placed under a Level 3 snow emergency. That means only essential personnel should be on the roadways.

State and local officials on Sunday warned that the severe winter weather and extreme cold could potentially be deadly as wind chills as low as –40 degrees were expected overnight.

Wind gusts of up to 30 mph, caused blowing and drifting snow making many roads impassible at times.

Health and safety officials warn that temperatures like we have been experiencing can cause frostbite to occur in just minutes on exposed flesh.
