Sheets Case Update

An Evansport man is sentenced 15 years to life behind bars after pleading guilty to rape. Prosecutors say James Sheets, 33, attacked a girl, under the age of 10. They add he raped another girl who was under 13, in 2019. Each of the incidents apparently happened at a home on West Street in Evansport. In August 2019 he pled not guilty…but then in January of this year he pled guilty to one count of rape and six counts of gross sexual imposition. Another seven counts against Sheets were dropped, as part of a plea agreement.
