SINGER COMPETING NATIONALLY FOR VOTES

Recent Fayette High School grad­u­ate, 18 year old Noelle Good­son, entered the Stand and Be Heard Anthem Singing Con­test in May, in which each of the con­tes­tants sings the national anthem. Now, The Bryan Times reports that to move for­ward in the com­pe­ti­tion, Noelle must be in the top 20 nation­wide.

If she can make it into the top three, she will win a $5,000 col­lege schol­ar­ship, all expenses paid trip to Nashville, a pro­fes­sional record­ing ses­sion, and a per­for­mance on national tele­vi­sion. She could even win a $10,000 schol­ar­ship.
