A third person implicated in a robbery and assault in Defiance last spring has been sentenced to prison. Emilee Slusser, of Bradford, is given a four- to six-year sentence. She was given credit for 50 days served in the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio while her case was pending. Two other co-defendants…Shawn Curtzwiler…and Slusser’s brother, Bailey Slusser, previously were sentenced to prison terms on robbery charges. Prosecutors say…the defendants held another individual against his will, in May 2021. They then took him to Defiance, from a Michigan location…then they robbed the victim. He was beaten by the three at that point, officials say.
