A judge rules, Thomas Smith, the Toledo man accused of randomly killing a Montpelier woman last year…is no longer competent to stand trial. Lucas County Judge, Lindsay Navarre made the ruling…based on a report from the Court Diagnostic & Treatment Center, a private, non-profit organization based on Toledo. We reported the same outfit found Smith competent, last year. Now…a new report shows Smith isn’t up for it, anymore. He has been held on $1 million dollars bond since his arrest in Feb. of 2020…doing time behind bars in psychiatric ward. Smith is accused of stabbing Danialle Swan several times in the chest and abdomen…as she entered a BP station in Toledo. No future hearings are scheduled.
