SOBRIETY CHECKPOINT TO BE HELD THIS WEEK IN DEFIANCE AREA

As always, if you drink… don’t drive. Not only is it dangerous, but this week it could also be more costly.

The Defiance post of the Ohio Highway Patrol has announced that it is conducting an OVI checkpoint to deter and intercept impaired drivers this week.

Just where the checkpoint will take place will be announced just prior to that checkpoint. Operational support for the checkpoint will be provided by local law enforcement agencies.

Police say that if you plan to consume alcohol, designate a driver or make other travel arrangements before you drink. Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.
