Unemployment rates declined in all five area Northeast Indiana counties during March. LaGrange and Elkhart Counties continued to post the lowest in the area and the state, going from 2.5 to 2.2 percent. Steuben County went from 2.8 to 2.5. DeKalb County dropped from 2.9 to 2.5, that’s the fifth lowest in the state. Noble County went from 3.1 to 2.7 percent.
