In Toledo…FirstEnergy…under investigation for its role in an alleged $60 million bribery scheme involving one of Ohio’s most powerful politicians…fires its chief executive following an internal review. Utility officials say the company’s investigation found CEO, Chuck Jones and two other company officials, also fired, violated company policies and its code of conduct. The firings come just hours after two Ohio political operatives plead guilty to conspiring in a scheme aimed at bailing out two aging nuclear power plants…once owned by FirstEnergy.
