Stalker Arrest

Coldwater Police make an arrest in a stalking investigation. 61 year old Mark Yearling of Montgomery was taken into custody by Michigan State troopers. The arrest came after a traffic stop on Highway 12 and Western Avenue. Yearling’s name came up on a warrant that was issued by the Branch County Prosecutor’s Office in March. The warrant was issued after a Coldwater Township woman told authorities about what had been happening to her. Yearling had been sending her letters for several years and after trying to handle the matter on her own, she finally contacted authorities in February. Yearling is charged with misdemeanor stalking and obstructing a criminal investigation. He was released after posting bond and will be officially arraigned on July 24.
