Stryker man charged with retaliation toward a public official, appears headed to trial.

A Stryker man charged with retaliation toward a Henry County public official, appears headed to trial next month. Following a motion hearing in the case against Michael Hill, 39, in Williams County Common Pleas Court, Judge J.T. Stelzer was informed by both parties that no resolution has been found. Stelzer scheduled a final pre-trial conference for Nov. 8. The trial date remains set for three days, beginning Nov. 27. Stelzer also ordered that any motions need to be filed at least four weeks prior to the trial date. If any motions are filed, he will schedule a hearing prior to that. The judge also ordered all parties must report experts and expert written testimony at least 14 days before the proceedings. The charge of retaliation is a third-degree felony. The incident allegedly took place in March of this year.
