Suicidal Man Causes Traffic Backup

An inci­dent that halted traf­fic on the Indi­ana Toll Road in Lagrange County early yes­ter­day morn­ing, for­tu­nately ended peace­fully. Traf­fic was backed up Tues­day morn­ing, on the east­bound lanes of the high­way, when a man who police say may have men­tal health issues, report­edly doused him­self with gaso­line and threat­ened to light a match. The stand­off near the 130 mile marker ended peace­fully just before 7:00 yes­ter­day morn­ing, with­out the need for any police force, and the man was then taken to Parkview LaGrange Hos­pi­tal for evaluation.
