A weeks-long investigation into the spread of counterfeit bills around Auburn leads to the arrest of three people. It was New Year’s Eve when Auburn Police first released a photo of a man who used counterfeit money at a West Seventh Street business and asked for the public’s help to identify him. Investigators then received several tips about the original theft, as well as at least two other ones. That’s when Auburn Police arrested Eleisha Morris, Ryan Bogatitus and Dalton Smith. All face a list of counterfeit related charges.
