The 2017 class of Leadership Williams County has selected their group project: renovating the circa-1850 Quaker Meeting House on County Road 21.N in Brady Township. The Quaker Meeting House was built for $250 by the Borton brothers, who moved to Williams County from New Jersey, and was a well-known Underground Railroad stop. Plans include power washing the siding and foundation, painting the exterior of the building, repairing the steps, door, sill plates and cap shingles and resealing the floor. The goal is to raise $10,000 for the renovation, according to Scott Towers, a 2017 Leadership Williams County class member and manager of the project.
