The Aquifer Saga Continues

Commissioners from a number of counties in the tri-state area are moving forward on forming a regional aquifer board. A public session at the Williams County East Annex included commissioners from Defiance, Fulton and Williams counties as well as Allen and Steuben in Indiana and Hillsdale County in Michigan. Their purpose: decide whether to form a tri-state board to keep an eye on the local aquifer that provides well water to northwest Ohio, southeast Michigan and northeast Indiana. They also heard from two local well experts as well as three representatives of the Geological Survey, concerning a possible study of the aquifer.
