Here are some local jobs numbers…in Williams County, the unemployment rate rose to 4.6 percent in June, compared to 4.5 percent in June 2016 and 4.5 in June 2015. The number rests right at the national rate for the month. The newest number was up from 4.1 percent in May of this year. The county’s labor force is 19,300 strong. In Defiance County, the rate hit the 5.2 percent mark in June, even from a year ago. In May, Defiance County’s rate was 4.5, down from 5 percent in March. Over in Fulton County, it climbed to 5 percent in June, compared with 4.4 percent last year. 22,800 have jobs there. Henry County’s rate also rose, to 5.3 percent, compared to 5.2, last June.
