The Span Is Done In Defiance

The Clinton Street bridge in Defiance is scheduled to open to traffic today following a dedication ceremony. That takes place on the south side of the bridge. The event will include comments from ODOT Director, Jack Marchbanks, Defiance Mayor, Mike McCann and Defiance County Commissioner, Ryan Mack. The bridge will be dedicated as the Purple Heart Bridge. Officials say, at some point after the ceremony, the bridge will open fully to traffic. The span carries Ohio state routes 15, 18 and 66 over the Maumee River.
