Toledo wants court to decide who pays for inmates at CCNO

The City of Toledo is suing the Cor­rec­tions Cen­ter of North­west Ohio in Lucas County. They want the court to decide who should pay for inmates jailed through Toledo Munic­i­pal Court. The ques­tion comes from an Octo­ber 2014 direc­tive from the Toledo mayor to file charges against cit­i­zens under the Ohio Revised Code, rather than Toledo Munic­i­pal laws. That changed the costs from the city to county government.
