A few dozen people arrive in Bryan Municipal Court as a jury gets picked in the Steve Towns trial. After about two hours, eight jurors and one alternate juror were selected. This, as Sheriff Towns is accused of two misdemeanor charges…all stemming from his online release, in October 2018, of more than 600 pages of investigative documents related to child abuse. It involved personnel of Bryan City Schools and the Williams County Department of Job and Family Services . After the jury selection…testimony in the case began. The trial resumes.
