The new Iron Horse River Trail project is expected to be bid out this summer for a completion next year…after it failed to get bids this spring. The project would pave a trail…running from North Pleasant Street to River Street…and would include two wooden piers over low ground. Although two contractors expressed interest, neither ended up submitting a bid. Officials say…one of the bidders was unable to get an estimate within 10% of the engineer’s estimated $1.2 million dollars.
