Two Hurt In AT Crash

A crash in Amboy Township leaves two people injured, one seriously. The Toledo Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating the crash on US 20, west of Assumption. Officials say a motorhome, driven by 67-year-old James Dye of Madison, New York, was eastbound on 20. Meanwhile…a box truck, driven by 45-year-old Forrest Ream of Hazel Park, Michigan, is westbound. Dye tries to come to a stop for slowed traffic in front of him…he can’t stop in time. He swerves the motorhome off of the right side of the roadway. He then overcorrects. The RV goes into the other side…head on into the semi. Dye is taken to St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center by air ambulance with serious injuries. He’s in critical condition. Ream was transported by ground ambulance to Toledo Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The investigation continues.
