Two Toledo woman facing theft charges

A pair of Toledo residents were recently indicted after authorities say they found stolen goods in a stroller that was also occupied by one of the suspects’ 2-year-old child. According to the Defiance County Prosecutor office, Rolanda A. Scott and Ashleigh R. Morgan, both 23 and of Toledo, face charges of engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity and theft. They are accused of stealing more than $1,000 worth of merchandise on May 5 at Dunham’s Sports on N. Clinton St. Authorities said they located the merchandise in a stroller occupied by Morgan’s 2-year-old child. Upon searching Scott’s vehicle, it was discovered that two or more additional thefts had occurred. Morgan faces an additional count of child endangerment.
