Utility Policies The Issue In Montpelier

The Montpelier Village Council approves budget cuts and an amendment to the utility policy. Both the cuts and the policy changes were in response to the ongoing pandemic. Again, like other area towns…customer’s ability to pay their bills…during all of the work stoppages and the like…the main issue. Fees from penalties and for disconnections will continue to be waived. So far, officials say the village has written off over $28 thousand dollars in fees.
