Victim Continues Recovery

The victim of a June 8 shooting in Defiance is released from the hospital. Becky Clifford is recovering from several gunshot wounds. Investigators tell reporters Clifford was attacked by her neighbor, John Ruark…who then took his own life just as officers at an E. Second St. location. Ruark lived in an upstairs apartment, while Clifford lived in the unit below. They say Ruark entered Clifford’s apartment and shot her. She was unarmed. The case continues.
