Surviving is her son, Rick (Lynn) Speiser of Defiance; one sister-in-law, Carol Speiser of Defiance. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Elmer (Lorena) Retcher, Charley (Mildred) Retcher and Clarence (Nellie) Retcher; one sister, Linda Lou Retcher; one brother-in-law, Ned Speiser.
Visitation for Viola M. Speiser will be held Monday, March 20, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Olive Branch Pentecostal Church of God, 6893 State Route 15, Defiance, Ohio, where her funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. Monday in the church with Pastor Keith Adkins and Jeremy Espinoza officiating. Interment will follow in Sherwood Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Oberlin-Turnbull Funeral Home, 230 East Elm Street, Sherwood.
