Violent Crime On The Docket

A Bryan man, accused of violently beating and raping a woman, is indicted by a Williams County grand jury. Christopher Smith will answer to one count of rape and domestic violence charges. Investigators say Smith used a belt to beat the victim in the assault on Sept. 20. Then, a few days later, he slammed her face into a mirror and kicked her in the right side of the head and in the left rib cage…with steel-toed boots.
