Wauseon Police Department investigated a bomb threat

The Wauseon Police Department investigated a bomb threat that was reported at a city business Friday morning. The department received a call at approximately 9:13 a.m., from the management team at IAC Corp. on W. Linfoot St. regarding a message that was left inside the building. When officers arrived, they learned that the message left was for a bomb threat to occur at the factory. An evacuation order was issued and the property was searched. Toledo Police Department K-9 units responded and assisted with the search. A suspicious package was located but was determined not to be of concern. Employees were allowed to return to work about three hours later.
