Williams County doesn’t get on the list of counties to receive a disaster declaration from the Department of Agriculture. Fulton County didn’t make it either. They were the only two counties in the northwest part of the state not to get on the declaration. Some local officials are surprised about that. They can produce data that shows Williams and Fulton counties have similar rates of prevented planting acres as other counties that were declared disaster. All this, in connection to a series of storms that hit the region in November.
