Whaley Gets Five Years

Prosecutors tell the court a Montpelier man injected someone with fentanyl while the victim was asleep back in April…they win the case and that gets Travis Whaley five years in prison. He initially pled not guilty to a second-degree felony charge of assault on July 30 but changed his plea to guilty on Sept. 19. In October, he filed a motion to withdraw the guilty plea but the motion was denied and overruled.
