Williams County Board of Elections approves two candidates as write-ins for the general election, while rejecting a third.

The Williams County Board of Elections approves two candidates as write-ins for the November General Election, while rejecting a third. The board approved Mary Gniewkowski as a write-in candidate for the position of Northwest Township Trustee and Dawn Layman as a write in for Millcreek-West Unity Board of Education. Gniewkowski will be running unopposed for the trustee position because the board had previously rejected Steven Stamper’s petition to run for the position. His petition was rejected because he had incomplete circulator statements. Layman will compete for one of two seats on the board of education with Heather Jones.
