Williams County Family YMCA surpasses fund raising goal

Some good news for the Williams County Family YMCA. Not only did their capital fundraising campaign met and surpass its goal, but campaign leaders announced Friday an additional donation from the Markey family will allow the Y to build a new multi-purpose room addition to the pool area. Donations and pledges from the community have allowed the YMCA to close out its capital fundraising campaign at $2.7 million, exceeding the $2.5 million goal, according to Bill Martin, co-chairman of the Y’s capital campaign, and Rob Imber, YMCA executive director.
