Williams County may find it difficult and costly to transition to next generation of 911 calls.

Although citizens should be safer with the next generation of 911 emergency calls, Williams County may find it difficult and costly to transition. To make things more complicated, county officials were just told that the state wants Williams County to make the shift in the fourth quarter of this year. The update was given to the Williams County commissioners earlier this week during a meeting with county information technology and 911/communications personnel.
