In Williams County, authorities are investigating a possible homicide that has led to the arrest of one man. In Montpelier, police were alerted of a possible homicide that occurred somewhere along the St. Joe River Trail on Sunday. An adult male’s body was found in the area, however officials are withholding the victim’s identity until a positive identification can be made.
The body was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. A suspect, 22 year old Bradly Gilbert of Montpelier, has been apprehended by Surry County, N.C., sheriff’s deputies. Gilbert is being held in North Carolina pending extradition. The entire incident remains under investigation today.
