Williams County Reports Homicide Investigation Underway

In Williams County, author­i­ties are inves­ti­gat­ing a pos­si­ble homi­cide that has led to the arrest of one man. In Mont­pe­lier, police were alerted of a pos­si­ble homi­cide that occurred some­where along the St. Joe River Trail on Sun­day. An adult male’s body was found in the area, how­ever offi­cials are with­hold­ing the victim’s iden­tity until a pos­i­tive iden­ti­fi­ca­tion can be made.
The body was taken to the Lucas County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy. A sus­pect, 22 year old Bradly Gilbert of Mont­pe­lier, has been appre­hended by Surry County, N.C., sheriff’s deputies. Gilbert is being held in North Car­olina pend­ing extra­di­tion. The entire inci­dent remains under inves­ti­ga­tion today.
