Sandy Kessler, Maumee Valley Planning Organization’s community development planner, announced last week Williams County will get more money for community improvement projects but officials will have to stretch it out longer. Kessler outlined the increase Thursday morning in a meeting with Williams County commissioners and representatives from each of the county’s villages. The glitch is that the state switched over from a one-year to two-year funding cycle. That change will result in the county having 26 months to complete projects but not being eligible again until 2019.
