Williams Sheriff Cleared

Accord­ing to a news release from The Williams County Pros­e­cu­tors Office, County Pros­e­cu­tor Kather­ine Zart­man has received con­fir­ma­tion that Sher­iff Steve Towns has been cleared of any pos­si­ble charges in con­nec­tion with the Bryan School Board inves­ti­ga­tions. Ohio BCI, in con­junc­tion with the Ohio Attor­ney General’s Spe­cial Pros­e­cu­tions Sec­tion, con­cluded that Sher­iff Towns did not com­mit any crime in con­nec­tion with the case. The Ohio Ethics Com­mis­sion also declined to per­sue the matter.
