The Montpelier Village Council approves moving $900,000 dollars to work as an advance payment for the village’s last combined sewer overflow project. A CSO is when untreated stormwater and sewage overflow in local streams and rivers. Montpelier has so far fixed six of these with the last one coming up this year. In order to pay for the project, the village received a grant for $2.7 million dollars…with the village matching $400,000…which would cover the work that needs done on private property.
