Yet Another Scam

Heads up on another scam in the area. This time, the caller says they represent a company called Hometown Productions. Two area businesses got this call recently. The caller is selling advertising for a county map and directory. He says that they are locally based, and a part of the Bryan Area Chamber, or with county offices, such as the Bryan Parks and Recreation Department. Representatives from these offices are not selling or producing a county directory, map or magnet. If you get this call, officials say you are better off just hanging up.
