YMCA Kicks Off Fundraising Campaign

The Williams County Family YMCA has launched it’s annual support campaign, with a goal this year of raising $70,000. The money will be used to support programs for preschoolers, school-age children and seniors, and help fund the People Helping People Scholarship program, which provides membership assistance to low-income families. Y officials say that while support is accepted year-round, the campaign currently underway is particularly active over the next 12 weeks. The Williams County YMCA is headquartered in the 46,000 square foot building on Faber Drive in Bryan, and currently has some 3,100 members, about 65 employees, and an operating budget of $750,000 a year. If you would like more information on what you can do to support your local YMCA, call 419–636-6185.
