10-Years For Shooting Her Son

A woman from the Delta area who admit­ted she tried to shoot her teenage son to death was sen­tenced Fri­day to 10 years in prison.

57 year old Can­dis Sher­man pleaded guilty in Jan­u­ary in Ful­ton County Com­mon Pleas Court, to attempted aggra­vated mur­der with a firearms spec­i­fi­ca­tion.

Sher­man admit­ted in court that she shot Logan Sher­man, who was 15 at the time, in their Ful­ton County home last July 21st.

Sher­man said she had planned to kill her son and her­self because she had fallen into depres­sion after her estranged hus­band died and she was strug­gling financially.
