8-Year-Old Killed In Tragic Accident

An eight-year-old boy was killed Sun­day night when he rode his bicy­cle into the path of a pickup truck near Orland. Accord­ing to the STeuben County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal acci­dent hap­pened just after 8pm on County Road 700 North, when 55-year-old Bucky Ster­ling of Orland was dri­ving west the high­way, and 8 year old Ulises Munoz rode his bike out into the road from a pri­vate dri­ve­way and directly into the path of Sterling’s pickup truck. Munoz was pro­nounced dead at the scene by the Steuben County Coro­ner. Ster­ling was not hurt in the crash. The acci­dent is still under inves­ti­ga­tion today.
