Local students win silver at skills competition

Four students from Four County Career Center received silver medals in the 2016 Skills USA State Championships in Columbus for placing second in Ohio in their skill competition. Austin Karzynow (Fairview), plumbing; and Abigail Patrick (Montpelier), Robert Montgomery (Patrick Henry) and Drake Imber (Tinora) were all part of the crime scene investigation team. The Skills Ohio championships consist of more than 80 career, technical and leadership contests. Participants are challenged to complete a project in their area of career and technical training within a specified time period while being scored by a panel of judges.
