Napoleon police investigating a suspicious person report involving a child

Napoleon police are investigating a suspicious person report involving a child. According to police, officers responded to a call of “suspicious circumstances” at the corner of Glenwood Avenue and West Washington Street around noon Friday. Upon arrival, an officer spoke with an 11-year-old Napoleon boy who reported that he was stopped by someone who grabbed onto his shoulder after he had crossed the railroad tracks. The boy reported that he pulled away and called police from a friend’s house. The person was described as a male 40-50 years of age, white complexion with red hair and freckles, and possibly a mustache. The vehicle was described as a midsize pickup, red in color with a black top.
