Boy Scout’s project will place a medical trauma kit will be placed in Archbold Area Schools

Thanks to an ambitious Boy Scout’s project, a medical trauma kit will be placed in each of 76 classrooms at Archbold Area Schools. 14 year old Levi Baus of rural Archbold, who is a Life Scout, is raising funds for the trauma kit project as he works toward becoming an Eagle Scout. Baus credits his dad for giving him the idea Baus is the son of Chad and Beth Baus. His father is the leader of Boy Scout Troop 63. While Baus is home schooled, many of the scouts that belong to his troop attend Archbold schools. Trauma kits go a step further in treating a very serious injury until medical professionals can get to the school. The kits could be used in such circumstances as a parking lot or shop class accident, severe cuts, a bleacher collapse, a weather event such as a tornado, or a violent attack.
