Bids for the Jackson Street water and storm sewer lines project were opened in the office of the county commissioners on Monday. The Bryan Times reports the project consists of 1,300 feet of 8″ water line on the north side of Jackson Street, and 1,400 feet of storm sewer on the south side of Jackson Street. The project, estimated at $166,600, is being funded by a combination of grants through the Ohio Public Works Commission and Community Development Block Grant program. The grants are being administered through the Maumee Valley Planning Organization. Bids were submitted Monday from four companies: S & S Directional Boring of Bryan, Vernon Nagel from Napoleon, Zee Construction from Holland, Ohio, and B Hill’z Excavating, Wayne, Ohio.
