Defiance man charged with rape

A Defiance man was charged with rape early Saturday. City police charged 27 year old Matthew Riblet, with rape following an alleged incident at his residence. The charge alleges that Riblet engaged in forced sexual conduct with an adult female. According to police, the victim called city officers shortly after 4 p.m. The call came in as a “disturbance” call. Riblet is being held at the Corrections Center of Northwest Ohio.
