Five have thrown their names in the ring to fill Ohio’s vacant 81st House District seat. The position opened Tuesday, when second-term state representative Rob McColley of Napoleon was appointed to fill Cliff Hite’s chair. Former state representative, Jim Hoops and ex Napoleon mayor, Steve Lankenau…both of Napoleon…are in. Dr. Christopher Meyer, a pediatrician in Wauseon…Putnam County Republican Party chairman, Tom Liebrecht, of Ottawa…and Leipsic Village administrator Justin Barnhart round out the field of hopefuls.
