A pair of Fort Wayne attorneys and a Steuben County magistrate apply to fill an upcoming vacancy on the Indiana Court of Appeals. Fort Wayne lawyers, David Van Gilder and Andrew Teel, along with Randy Coffey of the Steuben Circuit and Superior courts are among 12 who want to replace Judge, Michael Barnes, who will retire this summer. Coffey was named to the bench in Steuben County as magistrate in 1995 after an unsuccessful run for circuit court judge. He also served as a former deputy prosecutor.
