Archbold Employee Cited For Lack Of Safety

OSHA cites an Archbold company for willful and serious safety violations. It stems from an incident at garage door maker Napoleon Spring, where a temporary worker lost an arm in an industrial accident. Napoleon Spring Works faces possible penalties, totaling $284,540. OSHA investigators found the company failed to implement procedures to prevent equipment from moving unintentionally during production. They also found inadequate machine guarding. The company has 15 business days to comply, request an informal conference with OSHA’s area director, or contest the findings before an independent commission. The company has had problems along these lines in the past.
