An 18-year-old is dead and a 17-year-old in critical condition after a crash involving an all-terrain vehicle north of Grabill, the area of Hurshtown Road and Cuba Road. Paul Schmucker, Jr. and the juvenile were westbound on Hurshtown, heading towards Cuba Road when they lost control and went off the north side of the roadway. The ATV went through a fence and hit a utility pole. Schmucker was pronounced dead at the scene. The 17-year-old victim was airlifted in critical condition. Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.
