Federal Dollars For Electrical Improvements

The USDA says the agency it will be investing $398.5 million to improve rural electric services in 13 states through the Electric Infrastructure Loan Program. A portion of those funds have been awarded to North Western Electric Cooperative, headquartered in Bryan. The local utility cooperative will receive $8 million over a period of four years to improve efficiency and reliability to its nearly 6,000 consumers.
